Experience gained over recent years in concept development, planning and realization of pharmaceutical and biotech plants has led to the levels of compatibility, synchronization and interchangeability of individual systems often being very limited – especially compared with operational costs.
All too often, low investment budgets and incomplete user requirement definition lead to the realization of additive systems which are neither optimized nor coordinated among themselves. Reducing and standardizing common rules and interfaces is often neglected for a variety of reasons. It’s a fact that the number of weak points increases with the rising number of interfaces. And this inevitably leads to higher costs and reduced quality.
For years, KOP has been developing and realizing intelligent 3D Matrixes for pharmaceutical, biotech and other production facilities and laboratory buildings. In horizontal and vertical grid systems, the foundations are laid – out of the process flow and process requirements from the inside out – to optimally coordinate and operate ideal conditions and configurations for manufacturing, packaging, logistics and support functions, on the one hand, as well as clean room systems, building services engineering and process engineering, on the other.
This enables high-level compatibility to be achieved from development through to shell construction, in routing from the generators through to the consumption points, and for equipment and skid positions.
The result is a significant reduction of interfaces throughout, with maximum integrated system coordination, as well as high industrial, accurate pre-production, minimal compatible component diversity, modular orders of magnitude, faster building times for deployment in the areas of shell construction, façade, clean room, changing rooms, along with the use of skids for process, media, HVAC, logistics and pre-installed routing segments.
